Michel Bourez

Michel Bourez is a French-speaking Tahitian with the most powerful frontside gouge on the CT Tour today, never mind his tuberiding and backside attack. Known as The Spartan because of his supreme physique, thanks to the fresh fish, coconut juice and the hours of surfing he enjoys in Tahiti, Michel qualified for the world tour in 2008, and has won a number of CT events during his career, with many years still to go.

A long-standing Firewire teamrider, Michel has been an important contributor to Firewire’s success, proving beyond a doubt that Firewire’s technology can be ridden in a wide variety of conditions, and perform at the highest levels of competitive surfing.
